There's a new twist in the Manson family murders. We're learning there may have been another victim and now we know who she is.
After going unidentified for nearly 47 years, Jane Doe number 59 now has a name. Investigators have identified her as then 19-year-old Reet Jurvetson. Now, they want to know if she was a victim of the Charles Manson family.
Jurvetson's body was found just three months after the murders, not far from where they took place. Police say she had been stabbed more than 150 times.
We've learned investigators went to the state prison where Manson is being held to interview him in October, but say he provided "no fruitful information."
The new developments are "intriguing" to a reporter who originally covered the murders.
"If I were the detectives I would try to reach Linda Kasabian, I would interview Leslie VanHousen, and Tex Watson who are still in prison and see what they know about it," said Martin Kasindorf, Former "Newsweek" Writer.
Investigators say they still cannot rule out the Manson family's involvement.
