The woman accused of plowing her car into a crowd of people at the OSU homecoming parade pleads not guilty in court.

Adacia Chambers was formally arraigned Wednesday. At the short hearing, Chambers entered pleas of not guilty on all 46 counts.

Now both parties will start looking ahead to a trial that the district attorney said could last at least a month.

October 24, will mark the one year anniversary of the crash that led to the death of four people and injuries to 42 others. Payne County District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas said a trial during that time would be inappropriate, but she would like for it to take place before the end of the year.  Although, Defense Attorney Tony Coleman said he doesn't see that happening.

“While the DA has a desire to try this matter before year’s end, that likely isn’t going to happen,” said Coleman.

One reason: Coleman said he still doesn't have all the necessary information in the case. And it looks to be a massive one.

The DA said she will subpoena over 100 witnesses, some from out of town. She also said she's already handed over 800 pages of evidence, everything she has.

But Coleman said there's more.

“Somebody has it, whether it be prosecutors, law enforcement, someone has it we’re entitled to it and we want it,” said Coleman.

Some victims and relatives from the crash were in court again Wednesday, but it's likely only the beginning in a long line of hearings and formalities before they start getting the answers they're looking for.

“It is not our goal or desire to relive or rehash this for the victims, but at the same time we have to preserve the rights of Ms. Chambers as we move through this process and hopefully everyone will understand that,” said Coleman.

That next court hearing will be May 13, where Coleman will be asking the state to pay for expert witnesses in the case.
