Our Thunder reporter Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) is in San Antonio for the fifth time this season, but the stakes are a lot higher this time around as the Spurs host the Thunder in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Both teams are likely going to be playing a desperate brand of basketball, seeing neither team wants to face elimination in Game 6. Steve will be tweeting updates throughout the game, so keep checking in to ensure you won't miss out on any of the action.

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

#Russ D's up and Spurs can't take adv of mismatch w KL v Russ on key possession. One last chance STRONG w BB, Kevin! @NEWS9 #SPURSvTHUNDER

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Hang On!!!!#News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Love Spurs. But I'm not sure but what #Thunder are at least as good...and when on, a centimeter better --regardless how it turns out. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Have to get Waiters and Kanter involved here down the stretch!! #ThunderUp

— Kelly (@kellyogle) May 11, 2016

All those turnovers and OKC is only down one with 2:39 left in game. Flawless to the finish is a must. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

It's about time for Aldridge to come back in or maybe not? #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Superstar shooting, Russ 3, KD 3, tied at 78 #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

KD fell down by himself? Spurs up 3 after 3. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

C'mon Serge, it's called a rebound!!! Man's game. #Thunder can't miss FTs (Adams) woose out on RBDs (Serge), play champ D (Russ). @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Kanter and Waiters please!!!!

— Kelly (@kellyogle) May 11, 2016

Russ must make those 8-16-footers or else shoot OKC out of game. If he hits 'em, Game On. BTW, hello KD. Anyone seen the Big Cat? @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

4 fouls on Parker #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

OKC up to 14 turnovers, Spurs up 9, good shots hard to come by. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

This game has Russ getting flustered & trying to win it solo in 2ndH written all over it. But his 6 TOs absolute killers. Uphill now. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Pop brilliantly gets Green last possession 3 & sprints to half wondering how he leads by 5. And now he'll make impactful adjustments. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Spurs up 48-43 Half, turnovers crushed any chance of OKC being up heading into the third. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Awful ending to half, KL 3, Russ blows bunny & Spurs poised to extend lead.
A 1/2 where OKC should lead by double digits will end w behind.

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

2 misses inside by KD and Russ, SA ball up two with 24 seconds left in half. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Funny how #Thunder will get 6 pick & roll dunks and multiple baseline lob/jams one game then get none next. None tonight but needed. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Where's the foul on baseline lob to KD, who continues to draw no superstar fouls. Horrible no-call & just the reason OKC needed bigger lead.

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Wild game, 13 OKC turnovers and they still lead 39-38. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Things get a whole, whole, whole lot rosier for #Thunder offense if Russ can hit that 15' jumper & cut out the 5 turns. #SPURSvTHUNDER

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

I'd rather see #Thunder attack & continue to get a few turnovers over playing passive, hero ball & getting low% looks. #SPURSvTHUNDER

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

With Adams (2 fouls) out, Thunder remain in front up 29-28, Thunder up to 11 turnovers. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Russ playing like the 344th best player in league, not 4th best as voted today. But if he turns it around, it will be huge boost. @Thunder

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Russ must improve. If he just plays average, #Thunder in great shape. 2nd foul. How soft of Serge, sadly coughing up to big boy KL! @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Serge needs to squeeze the rebound a little harder, Leonard with a sneaky two. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

Refs give Spurs every chance 2 play through ugly 1st qtr. 7 turns or else #Thunder in total control. 48 mins of this D & hard 2 lose. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Thunder up 22-16 after first, 7 thunder turnovers, Spurs shooting 31.8 percent #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

#Thunder has never played better defense. Looking like team that should've won 3 straight & not team lucky to be 2-2. @NEWS9Thunder

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

#Spurs vvvveeerrrryyy fortunate they're not trailing by wide margin. But somehow #Thunder up just 1! Still, rather be OKC right now. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

2 fouls on Parker, Spurs have 4 turnovers. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 11, 2016

All questions answered about whether Russ would again play pass-first ball like he did in G4 win or revert to .... you know. Strong. @NEWS9

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

I think the key is controlling LaMarcus Aldridge. #Thunder

— Kelly (@kellyogle) May 11, 2016

It's early but #Thunder look the better team. Coulda/shoulda been up double digits. Can't waste opportunities. #Spurs 2 good. @NEWS9Thunder

— Dean Blevins (@DeanBlevins) May 11, 2016

Thunder up 7 early, two fouls on Aldridge, you have to like that Thunder Fans #News9Thunder

Wow, 97 degrees outside while on my way to arena. #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 10, 2016

Adams (with a smile on his face) on Curry MVP: Russ should have got it #News9Thunder

— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) May 10, 2016

#Thunder defense seems to have solved the Spurs' 3-point assault. Will it continue Game 5?https://t.co/196d4isOrE pic.twitter.com/yDVlkj3hCx
