Edmond School On Soft Lockdown As Police Look For Suspect In Domestic Dispute

Sunset Elementary School in Edmond, Oklahoma, was placed under a “soft” or modified lockdown as police searched for a suspect involved in a domestic incident near the school Thursday afternoon.

Police said the lockdown is strictly precautionary. All students and staff are safe. School officials said they are communicating with Edmond police, monitoring the situation.

The suspect reportedly tried to set a vehicle on fire during a domestic dispute. He has been taken into custody. 

Police have not identified the suspect at this time.
