Police Arrest Suspect Connected To Edmond Burglaries

An arrest made in a string of burglaries is helping to calm the fears of Edmond residents.

Oklahoma City Police arrested Christopher Harris this week.

“Beth,” doesn’t want to give her real name, but is the latest burglary victim in the neighborhood to come forward.

She’s normally cautious about leaving her garage door open. But Beth says May 5 was a rare exception.

“You immediately have a sense of violation and how did this happen. What did I do wrong?”

Her neighbor caught the incident all on surveillance camera.

Beth says she left her garage and car open long enough for Harris to slip in and steal her personal belongings. Her purse, car keys and credit cards were all gone within a few seconds.

“I immediately thought I had just misplaced it, but after about 20 min I went online and my credit card had been on a little trip around town,” says Beth.

It didn’t take police long to catch up with suspect. Harris was arrested Tuesday.
