Investigators are looking into the cause of a pair of fires that damaged a school and church in Tishomingo, early Friday morning.
Officials say they are suspicious of the fires that started at Tishomingo Middles School and the First Baptist Church.
Crews were first called out to the middle school just after 4 a.m. They had that fire under control around 4:45 a.m. No one was injured.
Then just after 5 a.m., another fire broke out at the First Baptist Church. Multiple crews were called to battle this fire, and as of 6:30 a.m. the fire at this structure was still raging.
Investigators have not said why they feel these fires could have been intentionally set. Just before 8 a.m. dispatchers said they have two people in custody for questioning about the fires.
