Oklahoma City police are trying to find a man accused of holding up a man at a Northwest Oklahoma City hotel.

The armed robbery happened Wednesday afternoon at the Travelodge on Northwest Expressway very near Penn Square Mall and the owner told News 9 the suspect had a friend helping at the counter when that gunman walked in.

The scary encounter was all caught on tape on the hotel's surveillance cameras.

In the video, you see the man walk up to the counter and talk with the clerk. The owner told News 9 this was after he asked the clerk for the price of a room and if there was anything available. He then asked the clerk if he could make change for a hundred dollar bill. And when the clerk said he could, that's when the man pulled out a gun and demanded the cash. The clerk did as he was told and handed over all the dollar bills.

And in the end, the thief walked out the front door and took off running. Fortunately, the clerk was not hurt.

If you recognize the man in that video you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300. You could be eligible for a cash reward if your tip leads to the man's capture and conviction.
