The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in an early morning crash involving two teens.

The crash occurred around 4:10 a.m. Saturday, when a car driven by a 16-year-old juvenile left the roadway at a high rate of speed on Ute Bluff just east of County Rd. 150 in Noble County.

The car collided with an embankment, rolled, and came to a rest on its top.

The 16-year-old was ejected from the vehicle and transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in serious condition. The passenger, 19-year-old Gabriel Sardina, of Ponca City, was transported by Eagle Med to Stillwater Medical Center in critical condition.

According to the report, the cause of the crash was due to alcohol and the 16-year-old driver was impaired. The seatbelts in the vehicle were equipped but not in use by the driver.
