Carter Co. Sheriff Arrested, Accused Of Bribery

Carter County Sheriff Milton Anthony was arrested Wednesday night on a felony bribery complaint, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said.

Anthony, 65, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. by OSBI agents. 

Anthony was taken to the Carter County jail and is expected to bond out Wednesday night. 

The circumstances of his arrest will be released Thursday, OSBI reported.

If convicted, Anthony will forfeit his office and could spend up to 10 years in prison.
