After a rough past couple of months, it looks like former OU and current Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is getting back in a rhythm after requesting then retracting a trade request from Philadelphia.

Bradford, who despite criticism from many people around the league for demanding a trade, is separating himself as the starter behind center at the Eagles' OTAs, according to new Philadelphia head coach Doug Pederson.

"The way he’s anticipated throws, his accuracy on throws, how well he sees the field, throws a nice ball, nice deep ball," Pederson told reporters before Friday's practice. "Things like that have really made him the guy I knew he was, and those are things that are exciting finishing up our offseason and getting ready for camp.”

Bradford was inked to a two-year $36 million deal in March, but Bradford wanted out of the city of brotherly love when the Eagles proceeded to make a suspect move by opting to trade up to the second pick in Aprils' draft to acquire North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz, but after the trade request wasn't granted, Bradford ultimately decided to end his holdout and attend the Eagles' voluntary workouts. Bradford sits ahead of both Chase Daniel and Wentz on the depth chart.

“I think he’s done an outstanding job," Pederson said. "When you’re spreading reps equally with three guys, that’s what you want to see. I think he’s done a nice job of taking the next step of being the leader on this football team and the starter. He’s done a nice job there.”

Along with impressing in OTAs, Bradford is also organizing teammates for a passing camp in San Diego set for sometime in July, according to Eagles correspondent Steve Painter.

It looks like Bradford will have his chance to prove the Eagles made a mistake in drafting a quarterback for the future, and there's a lot of Oklahoma fans out there hoping he does just that.

Pt 2 Reich on Bradford: "has performed in OTAs has been, and it’s not an overstatement to say this, off the charts. He’s really been good.”
