Security was on top of everyone's minds Tuesday night as OCU’s School of Law hosted a law enforcement forum on the threat of violence in places of worship

The event was planned several months ago, and was originally scheduled to be held in a classroom upstairs.

However, more than 400 people — many who signed up since the weekend shooting in Orlando — attended the symposium.

Acting Oklahoma City United States Attorney Mark Yancey said it shows people are paying attention.

“I’m happy people are turning out and hopefully they can take something back to their religious institutions,” he said.

An FBI agent told the crowd Tuesday night, in the event of an “active shooter” situation, people should think practice the following three words: “run, hide, or fight.”
