A robbery at a Subway leaves an employee in shock. It happened at Northeast 57th Street and Martin Luther King Avenue in the Oklahoma City metro.
The employee said the man walked into the store like any other customer. He ordered a sandwich, grabbed a drink, but she never expected him to rob her.
“He reached over the door, threw the pop at me, and then grabbed the money,” said Deandrea Mason. She was working the cash register that Wednesday. “He just looked at the cash register and said “ooo” and then stuck his hand in the cash register.”
Surveillance video shows the man pushing the swinging door and pushing Deandrea out of the way. He grabbed the stack of 20 dollar bills.
Deandrea said she tried to keep him away, but he forced his way through. “I was just scared, nothing else ran through my head,” she said.
The next morning, Deandrea was back at work. She said for now, she is not working the cash register and making sandwiches only.
One of her coworkers chased after the suspect, but did not catch him. Police are asking people to be on the lookout.
