Police Search For Suspects After Shooting In SE OKC

One person was shot Monday night in southeast Oklahoma City, police said.

The shooting happened about 9:45 p.m. near Checkers Truck Stop, 1901 E Reno Ave. 

The victim told police he was in the Waffle House parking lot when he was confronted by at least two people. During the altercation the victim was shot once in the leg. He managed to run to the Checkers truck stop next door and get help.

The gunshot victim taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspects drove away, going north on Martin Luther King Ave. No suspect description has been released at this time but police say they are interviewing witnesses.
