A career criminal’s thirst for some “Rocky Mountain Spring Water” is coming back to haunt him in Pauls Valley.

It involved an overnight burglary at Self Equipment back in January.

Owner Mike Self said someone  broke in and ransacked the place.

Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes said Deputy Jared White found an empty Coors Light can on the floor of the business.

White swabbed the mouth of the can for a DNA sample.

The OSBI traced that DNA sample to 38-year-old Roy Gilmore.

Gilmore has been in prison in Oklahoma before.

He’s also been in a Gunnison, Colorado, jail since February, after police there say he led them on a chase in a car he had stolen in the state of Nevada.

“We had no leads or names,” Rhodes said.

Rhodes said Gilmore is a Canadian County native, who is wanted in three Oklahoma counties for other burglaries.

He will be extradited back to Oklahoma at some point, according to the sheriff.
