A metro construction company is out thousands of dollars after a thief steals several of their work trailers.
Security cameras caught him in the act three separate times within 48 hours.
Oklahoma City police took the report for this case and the investigation is underway.
Now, the construction company is offering a reward hoping to help move it along.
Joe Sherga said his contracting firm has been busy helping to build safe rooms for Moore Public Schools this summer, but Tuesday, he was tied up with trying to figure out who took his work trailers.
“I think the fact that he’s stealing someone’s property tells me everything about him,” he said.
Over the weekend, OMNI Construction's security cameras caught this Dodge pickup at their shop off SE 74 Street. The first trip was in broad daylight.
Video shows him get the pickup in position, attach the trailer and drive away. The next two times he comes back after dark, even during Sunday’s storm.
“You wouldn’t expect someone to be stealing something in the middle of a storm except a pro,” Sherga said.
The apparent “pro” took a 14-, 16- and 20-foot trailer in 48 hours’ time, according to Sherga.
It was enough to put the company back $10,000 to $12,000 and mess up their work flow.
“We have to get back on the job. So by the time they find the trailer and we recover it, we will have needed it three or four times,” he added.
OMNI Construction's reward is $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of this person.
