Have you ever wondered why you're always the one bitten by mosquitoes while others aren't? Well, medical experts now say mosquitoes tend to target four types of people. And it turns out mosquitoes can actually be picky about who they bite.
Doctors say there are four types of people who are more likely to be bitten by mosquitoes. They include expectant mothers, who exhale more carbon dioxide which attracts mosquitoes. So does lactic acid, which is released by runners and people who sweat. Also, mosquitoes tend to find people with "Type O" blood more appetizing.
Finally, doctors say watch out if you enjoy drinking a glass of wine on the patio in the evenings.
"The theory is alcohol may raise your body temperature a little bit and make more attractive to mosquitoes," said Dr. Jon Steadman, Medical Center of McKinney
Doctors say those with "Type A" blood are least likely to be bitten.
