ESPN's Marc Stein reports Kevin Durant's contract with the Golden State Warriors is expected to be a two-year, $54.3 million contract. Stein also says the deal would include a player option after the first year.
According to Stein, the contract will make Durant the highest paid player for the Golden State Warriors, followed by Klay Thompson ($16.6 million), Draymond Green ($15.3 million) and Stephen Curry ($12.1 million), a two-time MVP.
ESPN expects the contract to be finalized July 7 when the leaguewide moratorium on signings ends.
ESPN reports Warriors coach Steve Kerr learned about Durant's decision via the Players' Tribune website.
