Three of four Norman North High School wrestlers will now be charged as juveniles in a rape case that happened back in January.

The incident reportedly happened on a junior varsity wrestling team bus. Police said 18-year-old Tanner Shane Shipman and three teenagers face criminal charges after being accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old and 12-year-old.

Now, only Shipman will be tried as an adult. According to the clerk for Garvin County Special Judge Trisha Misak, the defense and State agreed to charge the other three teens as juveniles in this case. Felony youthful offender charges have been dismissed against the three. They will be charged in the juvenile court.

News 9 learned that physiological evaluation was done and that’s what factored into this decision.

A hearing for Shipman is postponed until September 2.
