Authorities say a man suspected of killing his mother and another person in Arkansas was fatally shot by police in Oklahoma.
Andre Johnson, 40, died Saturday night as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported.
About 9 p.m., a Broken Bow police officer tried to pull over a vehicle. Police chased the vehicle to a dead end road, where the driver got out and began shooting at an officer's car. Witnesses said he ran to another police car and shot at the windshield, OSBI reported.
Four officers, two from Broken Bow police, one from McCurtain County Sheriff's Office, and one from the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police Department, shot at Johnson and hit him multiple times.
Johnson died at a local hospital, OSBI reported. Johnson was accused of killing two people in Sevier County, Arkansas.
OSBI agents will investigate the officer-involved shooting. The district attorney will determine if the shooting was justified.
