Businesses Evacuated Due To Gas Leak Near Britton, Council

A gas leak has prompted the evacuation of some businesses near N. Council Rd.  and W. Britton Rd.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department tells News 9 that the evacuations are just a precaution while crews work to cap the leak.

The leak appears to have occurred in the backyard of a home in the area. The cause of the gas leak has not yet been determined.
