Oklahoma County D.A. David Prater confirmed Oklahoma County District Judge Donald L. Deason was found dead inside his home Thursday.
“He’s been a friend to everyone in the courthouse and in law enforcement. We will miss him," said D.A. Prater.
Judge Deason has been on the Bench for the last 15 years for Oklahoma County.

He was appointed in 1999 as Special District Judge to a position in the Criminal Division of the District Court of Oklahoma County. And in 2005, he was appointed District Judge of Oklahoma County.
Prior to his career as a prominent judge, Deason served as a prosecutor with the DA for Oklahoma County for more than 19 years.
At this time, authorities have not released cause of death.
