Oklahoma women’s basketball coach Sherri Coale has announced that her team will host an open practice for fans on Saturday, Aug. 6 at Lloyd Noble Center in advance of its exhibition tour to Spain.
The Sooners’ practice will begin at 11:00 a.m. CT on the main floor at Lloyd Noble Center. OU’s practice will run to 12:30 p.m. CT and include a scrimmage for fans in attendance. Fans should enter via the east entrance of Lloyd Noble Center. Available seating is on a first-come first-serve basis.
Coale and the team will be available to sign autographs following the conclusion of practice. Attendees will have a chance to participate in activities on the court after practice as well. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase season tickets or join the Fast Break Club, Sooner Stilettos and Sooner Kids Club. Concessions will be available to fans during the event.
OU began its pre-foreign tour practice schedule on Saturday and will hold 10 practices before leaving for Spain. The Sooners will depart on Aug. 10 and play three games overseas during the nine-day trip.
The Sooners return four of five starters as well as 2016 Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year Vionise Pierre-Louis, from last year’s squad that finished 22-11 and made the program’s 17th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. With 12 returners back and a trio of newcomers, Oklahoma was ranked No. 14 in ESPN’s 2016 Way-Too-Early Poll for the upcoming season.
