Energy FC saw its eight-game unbeaten streak snapped on Tuesday night at the hands of third-place Sacramento Republic, 1-0. The fifth-place Energy is tied with Colorado Springs Switchbacks just a point behind Sacramento and four points behind leader Vancouver Whitecaps 2.

James Kiffe scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute. The Energy managed just one shot on goal against former OKC goal keeper Evan Newton. Energy keeper Cody Laurendi tallied three saves in the defensive match.

OKC drew four yellow cards, two for Kyle Hyland which resulted in a red card in second half stoppage time.

Next up for Energy FC are the Rio Grande Valley Toros on Saturday at Toro Stadium in Edinburg, Texas. Opening kick is at 7:30 p.m. CT
