With the Paralympics set to start in a few weeks, Team USA's men's and women's sitting volleyball teams are getting ready leave for Rio to compete in the games.

Despite the men winning a medal and failing to qualify since 2004, the group is determined to bring home a medal.

"I don't think anybody on our team, if you would ask, would be happy just to be at the Paralympics, we're their to medal," Dan Regan said.

As for the women's team, UCO student and team captain, Heather Erickson, will lead the way. Erickson has been on the team for ten years, and helped bring home a silver medal at the last two paralympics.

"Silver is great because you get a medal, but you're also the first loser," Erickson said.

You can check out my interview with members from both teams as they prepare for Rio in the video above.
