One Dead After SW OKC Auto-Ped Crash

One person is dead after being hit in an auto-pedestrian crash Saturday night in southwest Oklahoma City, police said.

The crash happened shortly after 10:20 p.m. near SW 48 and May Avenue. Officers blocked the roadway to investigate the crash.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses told police a black GMC pickup drove northbound on May Avenue after the victim was hit while trying to cross the street. 

Police are looking for the vehicle and the driver.
