Prairie Artisan Ales is set to open a new brewery and tap room near Automobile Alley in Oklahoma City.

The company brews its unique craft concoctions in Krebs, Oklahoma.

“We are happy to get up there and be part of that,” said Prairie’s President Zach Prichard about OKC’s emerging craft beer scene.

The Oklahoma City facility will also feature three art studios. The artist which creates the labels for Prairie’s beer will have a place to work and so will a local artist in residence.

Prichard said it’s a chance to connect to the artists community of Oklahoma City.

Prairie Artisan Ales will take up 4,000 square feet of the 15,000 warehouse at 3 NE 8 Street.

It’s brewery and tap room is expected to open in April 2017.

Restaurants and other businesses could also set up inside the warehouse.

Prairie's beer started with a cult following, but can now be purchased around the world.

This week, ratebeer.com ranked Prairie Bomb as the world’s 18th best beer.
