Undercover Child Sex Sting Lands Stillwater Man Behind Bars

A Stillwater, Oklahoma, man was arrested after police said he tried to meet and have sex with an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl.

According to police, on Wednesday, July 27, an undercover Stillwater officer with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began talking with the suspect, 31-year-old Michael Pellegrin, who had reportedly posted an ad on Craigslist. The undercover officer had responded to Pellegrin’s ad, which stated he was, “Looking for some fun.”

The undercover officer told Pellegrin that she was a 14-year-old girl. Pellegrin then told the officer that age didn’t bother him and asked to meet with the “girl.”

Pellegrin and the undercover officer then talked over the next day and agreed to meet at the “girl’s” house in Stillwater to engage in sexual activity while her parents were away.
 
When Pellegrin arrived and approached the home, he was taken into custody by officers stationed in the area.
 
Pellegrin was arrested on a complaint of lewd/indecent proposals to a child under 16.
