One Injured After NW OKC Shooting

One person was shot Sunday afternoon in northwest Oklahoma City, police said.

Shortly before 2 p.m., police received multiple calls concerning gunshots being fired in the area of NW 12 and Blackwelder.

Police found a scene with several shell casings on the ground, but did not find a victim at that time.

Minutes later, police were notified after a gunshot victim went to a hospital for treatment. Police said the victim is in stable condition.

Police have not released the name of the victim. Police do not know what led up to the shooting and they will interview several witnesses Sunday afternoon.
