Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief workers are in Baton Rouge setting up to feed thousands of flood victims.
The relief team is equipped to provide as many as 30,000 meals a day. However, they are waiting on propane gas from the Red Cross. They still hope to get out their first 3,000 meals by noon Friday.
"It takes people with a willingness to work no matter what the cost in order to help somebody that cannot help themselves,” said Sam Porter with Baptist Disaster Relief.
Porter said Baptist Relief workers will be in Baton Rouge for at least the next five weeks.
