Police are investigating the disappearance of a Norman man who hasn't been seen in nearly two weeks.

Investigators are looking 33-year-old Kenneth James Hodge Jr. and his family is concerned because he has to take antipsychotic medication to help with his mental illness.

The family says the last time he was off his meds he broke into a trailer he thought was his and ended up in a standoff with police. They don't want anything like that to happen again.

The last time Hodge was seen was at the Family Dollar store off Alameda.

“You can't just walk off the face of the earth in Norman. Even if he doesn't come home I need to know he's alive,” said Hodge’s mom, Lalona Benefield.

She says this is not like him to not be in touch with his family or his kids. And if he is off his meds, he could be in trouble.

“It keeps him from hearing voices and he hears voices and makes him do strange behaviors and talk to God out loud. He talks to God and argues with the devil out loud so it makes some people freak out,” Benefield said.

Norman police say since they reported him missing Wednesday, the did get a few leads, but none that lead them to his current location. Benefield says he had been staying at the OU hotel on Classen Blvd. lately, but that's several miles from where he was last seen. And his only transportation that they know of is a white bicycle.

“His brother's looking for him. His girlfriend's looking for him and we can't find him anywhere. It's like he walked off the face of the earth,” said Benefield.

The family is also taking to social media to try to find Hodge. So if you know where he is call Norman Police.
