An Oklahoma City man found himself starring down the barrel of gun in a robbery scam disguised as human kindness.

"I just stood back and let them do their thing because my life is more important," the victim who asked to remain anonymous said. "I thought I was going to die."

The victim stopped at Whittacker's Grocery Store near NW 10th and May to cash his paycheck on June 20.

Thinking nothing more of it, he grabbed the money and started toward his home. Another car pulled up next to his as he neared the intersection of NW 30th and Drexel.

"She rolled down her window and said there's something stuck in your back tire," he explained.

When the victim got out to check his car, two of the three suspects allegedly rushed him, put him in a choke hold, and held him at gunpoint.

The trio made off with his cash and some other items from the car.

Oklahoma City Police recovered surveillance images from the grocery store and called on the public to help get them identified.

Within a week, police made three arrests in the case Selina Guerad, 21, Shawn Brown and Marquel Ware, both 19.

The suspects were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on complaints of robbery with a firearm.
