Flank Steak Street Tacos

  • 1 flank steak
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1-2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Juice of one lime
  • Corn tortillas
  • Cilantro
  • Chopped onion
  1. To marinate the steak: in a medium sized bowl mix together the cumin, sea salt, paprika, chili powder, and pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture on all sides of the flank steak.
  3. Place the steak in a Ziploc bag and squeeze fresh lime juice over the steak.
  4. Seal the bag and place the steak in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. **Make sure to remove the flank steak from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes prior to cooking.
  5. Preheat grill or grill pan to high heat. Cook the flank steak for 5-6 minutes on both sides.
  6. Remove from the grill and allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes. ***Do Not Skip This Step!**.
  7. Once the steak is cooled, slice the steak against the grain.
  8. To make the tacos: warm the corn tortillas.
  9. Add a couple of slices of meat to tortilla, fresh cilantro and chopped onion.
  10. Enjoy!
