One Dead After Crash On WB I-40 In MWC

One person is dead after multiple crashes tied up traffic Monday morning on Interstate 40 in Midwest City, troopers said.

The crash happened about 8:15 a.m. Monday in the westbound lanes of I-40 near Air Depot. 

Two vehicles crashed on I-40 and caused a traffic backup when a motorcyclist hit one of the vehicles. The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle and went underneath a tractor-trailer. 

The motorcyclist died at the hospital. His identity will be released after next-of-kin has been notified, troopers said.
