Classes are supposed to resume Monday at Pierce Elementary School after a driver slammed into the building last week.
The driver lost control of their pickup near SW 29 and Tulsa and ended up taking out a support beam in the school.
Responding crews had to make sure the building was stable enough before they tried removing the pickup.
According to the school district, the driver was taken to a local hospital but there were no other injuries.
The impact did cause significant damage to the building, leaving campus unsafe for staff and students.
The school district has already begun the process of surveying the damage and making arrangements for what they are sure to be extensive repairs.
Four classrooms will be temporarily relocated.
