Christmas in the Park Needs Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to greet visitors at the upcoming Christmas in the Park event scheduled from Saturday, November 18 through New Year's Eve.

They will greet visitors, answer questions, hand out candy and occasionally wear costumes. Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age. For the safety of the volunteers, only five individuals may volunteer during a shift. Groups having more than five individuals will be asked to split and volunteer during separate shifts. Shift times are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. or can be shortened to 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The City of Yukon is encouraging businesses, civic and social clubs, church groups, school organizations, families and others to volunteer. Contact Quincy Rinkle at 350-8937 or to volunteer.
