Bail Bondholder Scheduled To Be In Court Monday

A Stillwater bail bondholder is scheduled to be in court Monday for a pre-trial hearing.

Chasity Carey is charged with first-degree murder after she said she fatally shot one of her clients.

Carey was arrested by the Stillwater police in August when she called 911, stating she shot a man.

That man was Brandon Williams.

Williams was arrested in July for second-degree burglary and marijuana possession.

Carey posted his $35,000 bond the next month.

Police reported Carey invited Williams to her office where she planned on taking him to the Payne County jail after remanding his bond.
According to Carey, she shot and killed Williams with a gun she had in her desk, but investigator's findings indicate the shooting was not justifiable self-defense.

Carey is due in court at 3 p.m. Monday.
