One Dead After Late Evening Autoped Hit-And-Run Near Downtown

One person is dead after a hit-and-run autoped wreck on I-40 near Western late Saturday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the female victim was struck while trying to cross the interstate. Overnight, she was identified as 37-year-old Eulyessea Ayers of Midwest City.

OHP described the suspect vehicle as a white pickup with noticeable rims and heavy damage to the front end and possibly the driver's side as well.
