Crews were called out to the scene of a propane truck on fire on Interstate 40, just west of El Reno, Monday afternoon.
Firefighters out of El Reno and Calumet were called out to the scene on westbound I-40, near mile marker 108.
Authorities were forced to shut down I-40 in both directions while crews worked the scene. The cause of the leak and subsequent fire appears to have been caused after the propane truck was rear-ended by a black pickup.
At least one injury has been reported, with a medical helicopter requested to transport the driver of the pickup to OKC's Presbyterian hospital. That person has not yet been identified.
A grass fire has also sparked up in the area because of the propane truck accident.
The truck belongs to Daughety Brothers Propane out of Calumet.
This is a developing story.
