Edmond has done away with its annual “Parade of Lights” the first Saturday of December.
Instead, December kicks off what the city’s calling “Luminance.” City Spokesman Casey Moore says “Luminance” will last the entire month of December, and will be a light display at Mitch Park.
“The issue with the parade was if the weather was bad, you really couldn’t reschedule because there’s so many other things going on in December,” he said.
He says bad weather had caused the city to cancel two of the last three “Parade of Lights.”
