PETA is asking for the public's help to identify the person(s) responsible for mutilating a puppy, found in southwest Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City Animal Welfare responded to a call from a resident regarding a puppy with its ears cut off at the scalp, Monday afternoon. Animal control officers rushed the 3-month-old Labrador–Golden Retriever mix, now named "Rocky", to a veterinary hospital, where he is expected to recover.
PETA is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction on cruelty to animals charges.
Police have not yet made any arrests in the case. Anyone with information about Rocky should call Animal Welfare at ?(405) 297-3117.
