Police arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery and shooting in southwest Oklahoma City.
Officer responded to the call about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at SW 29 and Portland.
The shooting victim cooperated with police and a manhunt for the robbers began nearby. The victim was able to identify the man and woman involved and describe the vehicle they were driving.
The victim said he knew the shooter from their time in prison and had asked the shooter for a ride to a bus station. During the ride, he said the two suspects demanded he get out of the vehicle and to hand over everything he had on him and shot him outside of the vehicle.
The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.
Police identified the shooter as Jamel Williams and the woman involved as Nyteala Perry.
Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Oklahoma County jail.
