Pecan Toffee Crack


  • 2 Cups brown sugar
  • 2 Cups unsalted butter
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 Sleeves saltine crackers
  • 1 Package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Cups pecans, chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place saltines in rows till the bottom of the pan is covered.
  4. In a sauce pan melt the butter with the brown sugar.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil and allow it to boil for 6 minutes or until it reaches 285 degrees.
  6. Stir in the salt and vanilla.
  7. Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers.
  8. Place the toffee in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and then sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  10. Allow that to sit for 5 minutes and then spread the melted chocolate over the top.
  11. Sprinkle with pecans.
  12. Allow the mixture to cool and then place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  13. Break into pieces to serve!

***To make Smore Toffee: Line the baking sheet with graham crackers. Instead of sprinkling the toffee with nuts, sprinkle with mini marshmallows & bake.
