A Custer County volunteer firefighter has been arrested and is accused of lewd acts with a child.

Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested Skyler Terrell, 24, Monday April 6, after he reportedly engaged in graphic sexual communications with an undercover investigator he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.

Terrell allegedly sent the undercover investigator messages stating the he wanted to have sex with her in his truck and sent a picture of his private area.

According to report, Terrell arranged to meet with the young girl in Oklahoma City.

“Terrell progressed quickly, he had his mind on raping a 14-year-old child.  When he showed up to the meet location, he had condoms ready to act out his disgusting fantasy,” Canadian County Sheriff Chris West said.

When Terrell arrived at the meet location, authorities were there to arrest him.

Terrell admitted to sexually communicating with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl, stating that he knew it was illegal.

“I believe if it was not for the ICAC program, monsters like Skyler Terrell would go undetected and prey on our children.  I am glad he is behind bars and taken from the streets where our children walk every day.” Sheriff West said.

Terrell was booked into the Canadian County Jail on one complaint of Lewd Acts with a Child.  His bond is set at $50,000.

The Custer County Fire Department released a statement saying:

The Custer City Fire Department had suspended Skyler Terrell approx 2 months ago on an unrelated incident.
