A Texas mother was killed saving three children in a parking lot accident on the first day of school.
The unidentified woman jumped in front of an out of control car saving two of her own children as well as another child at Mary N. Tippin Elementary School in El Paso, Texas.
The driver was an elderly man who was picking up his grandchildren, said EPISD police. He accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes.
According to Tippin Elementary School, the three students were also injured and were taken to local hospitals.
Classes continued Monday and counselors were made available Tuesday to students. A GoFundMe page was set up to raise money for all effected by the tragedy.
