Officials are investigating after a school shooting threat was found written on a girls restroom wall at Shawnee High School.
According to school officials, a future day for a school shooting with the message, "you've been warned" was found.
School officials said they immediately notified police, and began investigating if the threat was credible.
Officials said that since the date of the threat is in the future, they have determined that there is no immediate danger to the students, or a need to lock down the campus. However, there will be an increased police presence on the campus over the next several days.
The investigation is ongoing, and will include a review of video footage of traffic in and out of the bathroom, in order to determine potential suspects or witnesses.
School officials said, "Once we conclude this investigation, we will follow up with any necessary information. We take all threats seriously and collaborate with our local police to ensure the safety of students and staff during these times."
