Newly released body camera footage shows tense moments of an officer-involved shooting in Moore back on July 26th.

Rounds were fired in a 7-Eleven parking lot, just after 8 p.m., at the corner Southwest 4th Street and South Telephone Road.

Police say the suspect pulled a knife on an officer, while she attempted to serve a warrant.

The suspect, 55-year old Brian Eugene Richardson, is accused of aggravated possession of child pornography, and indecent exposure involving two young children.

Just this week, the Cleveland County District Attorney decided that Lt. Chris Maddocks force was justified. He has been on the force for over 20 years.

As for Richardson, he was taken to the hospital, but has since been taken to the Cleveland County Detention Center.

“We received a letter from the Cleveland County District Attorney this week, clearing the officer that was involved in the shooting,” said SGT. Jeremy Lewis of the Moore Police Department.

Now, Richardson also faces a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
