2 Norman Schools Closed Wednesday Due To Power Outage

Two Norman public schools will be closed Wednesday, September 5th due to a loss of power, officials said. 

According to report, damage from recent storms have left Jackson Elementary School and Alcott Middle School without power.

Officials released the following statement: 

 Due to damage to nearby transformers during recent storms, Jackson Elementary and Alcott Middle School in Norman remain without power. As a result, classes scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 5, have been canceled at both schools. However, the Jackson Elementary pre-k program at the YMCA will continue as scheduled.
