Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car In NW OKC

Emergency crews are on the scene of a fatal auto-pedestrian accident in northwest Oklahoma City.

Officials said one person was confirmed dead after being hit by a car near Northwest Expressway and May Avenue around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday. According to police, the driver of the vehicle claimed the victim was stationary in the roadway prior to the accident.

The victim and driver have not been identified.

Morning commuters are advised to find alternate routes.
