 A southwest Oklahoma City home was damaged Wednesday morning by a fire.

The fire was reported shortly before 11:10 a.m. in the 1300 block of S Blackwelder Avenue.

Firefighters said the home had heavy smoke visible from the roof and they saw heavy flames near the rear of the living space of the home.

Neighbors said the vacant home was sometimes occupied by two homeless people.

No one was inside the home during the fire.

Firefighters determined the $35,000 home sustained $15,000 worth of loss.
