Stillwater Man Accused Of Hitting Girlfriend With A Hammer

A man was arrested after a woman was found with a skull fracture in a Stillwater apartment complex, police said.

About 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, police received a phone call from a woman saying she had been hit in the head with a hammer by her boyfriend.

Police were able to locate the woman in an apartment complex in the 1800 block of N Boomer Road through 911 mapping and helpful neighbors.

Police found a 35-year-old woman with blunt force trauma to the back her of head. She was taken to the Stillwater Medical Center where she was treated for the skull fracture and released, police said.

The man, Jesus Valdez Bravo, 47, of Stillwater, was arrested on a complaint of assault with a dangerous weapon and was taken to jail, police said.
